Murder adds up for Watson Buckle team

The team from Watson Buckle recently got to spend some time out of the office and get to know each other a little better at a fun murder mystery evening.

The event took place at the Lounge Bar and Grill in Leeds, with a meal and drinks laid on, together with a theme of ‘Murder he Wrote’.

The event centred around a murder at the launch of an author’s scurrilous new novel. During the course of the evening, actors mingled with the guests, giving away clues on who had the most cause to dislike the writer and how he may have been killed.

Guests were then given further time to quiz the characters in the story as the evening went on, before using everything they have seen and heard to deduce who the killer was at the end of the evening.

Freda Akram, a senior in the Business Services Department, was the overall winner, by correctly guessing who the murderer was.

Watson Buckle managing partner Susan Sedgwick said: “Everyone enjoyed taking part in the murder mystery evening and it is important that we do take time out of the office to get to know each other in a less formal setting, which can only help build team relationships.

“Congratulations to Freda for correctly identifying the murderer – we’re sure her powers of deduction will come in useful in her day job with us!”
