Corporate Social Responsibility

As a Chartered Accountancy business operating in Bradford, West Yorkshire, providing a service to local businesses and individuals and making use of many local services ourselves, we believe that it is important to give something back to our community.

We achieve this in a number of ways – from giving our support to local charities and students through to sponsorship and fundraising activities, as well as working with charities as their appointed accountants.

One of our longest charity relationships has been with the Jane Tomlinson Appeal which helps children’s and cancer charities across Yorkshire, the UK and globally.

In addition, we also support  One In A Million (OAIM); a local charity which provides a range of community-based projects to children and young people from disadvantaged areas in eight centres across Bradford.

On top of this we have also supported a number of local sports clubs and organisations through the Watson Buckle Foundation in previous years.

Our staff are also heavily involved in a number of community activities ranging from sitting on the board of local schools to working with Bradford Schools Drugs Prevention Initiative.

Watson Buckle’s partners have also taken part in a golf competition, which raised around £15,000 for local cause Kids Out, whilst our other staff have also raised money for the National Autistic Society and a number of other local and national charities.

Alongside these activities we regularly welcome young people from local schools and colleges to visit our offices for a tour of our office or work experience – offering them useful insight into a career in our profession.

Our ongoing commitment to the local community forms an important part of our success and cements our position as a leading practice in Bradford and beyond. For more information, please contact us.
