Bradford accountant aces Coniston Challenge charity event
12 July, 2017
Selina Bocskei, Corporate Services Manager at Bradford-based Watson Buckle Chartered Accountants, recently took part in a charity challenge day at The Coniston Hotel Country Estate and Spa in Skipton, North Yorkshire.
Now in its eighth year running, the Coniston Challenge Day, which took place on Thursday 6 July, managed to raise an impressive £41,000 for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice in Keighley this year.
Selina attended the event as a guest alongside staff from AWB Charlesworth Solicitors.
Participants started the day with a hearty breakfast, before tackling a number of daring and competitive activities, from a high-octane driving experience led by the Coniston Off Road Experience, to archery challenges, clay-pigeon shooting and target golf.
All those who attended later wound down from the day’s activities at a drinks reception hosted by The Coniston Hotel Country Estate and Spa, which was followed by a tasty hog-roast supper and an awards ceremony acknowledging the day’s winners.
Commenting after the event, Selina Bocskei, Corporate Services Manager at Watson Buckle, said: “This year’s Coniston Challenge Day was great fun and I am proud to have participated on behalf of Watson Buckle to show my support for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.
“This year’s fundraising achievement is a testament to the growing popularity of the Coniston Challenge Day and the willingness of the people of Yorkshire to continue to support good causes in the community.”
