8 February, 2017
Samantha Riley, a young accountant at prominent Bradford accountancy firm Watson Buckle, has been shortlisted as one of six finalists for the Young Accountant of the Year Award 2017, in conjunction with the West Yorkshire Society of Chartered Accountants.
Watson Buckle, a forward-thinking accountancy practice, has been celebrating the good news, which will see Samantha attend an interview before a panel of three Judges in Leeds ahead of the awards ceremony later this month.
The ceremony, which will take place at The Royal Armouries in Leeds on Friday 24 February 2017, will form part of the Leeds Chartered Accountants Student Society’s Annual Dinner – which will be attended by more than 300 students, accountants and representatives from across the West Yorkshire region.
Prizes will be presented to the winner of the Young Accountant of the Year Award 2017 and runners up, including a top prize consisting of a weekend for two in Barcelona.
Commenting on her shortlisting, Samantha Riley, accountant at Watson Buckle, said: “It is a real honour to have my hard work and dedication recognised by a prestigious regional awards body and I am delighted to have been shortlisted for this award”.
Susan Sedgwick, Managing Director of Watson Buckle, added: “Sam is a very competent, loyal and dedicated member of our team who is destined for great success and I would like to wish her all the very best on Judging day”.
