After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2008, I gained a wealth of accounts and audit experience before joining Watson Buckle as an Audit and Accounts Manager in December 2011. I was promoted to Senior Manager on 1 January 2020, and I am now an ICAEW Responsible Individual.
I manage statutory and non-statutory audits and accounts preparation, across a wide range of sectors, specialising in audits for SMEs and charities. I also assist my clients with other corporate services.
My knowledge of both the Charity SORP and the complexities of charity reporting ensure clients benefit from a high-quality audit that adds real value.
I enjoy working as part of the Watson Buckle team and I love that the profession is forever changing, and I am consistently learning new skills and developing my technical knowledge. I also play a fundamental part of our staff training program, watching our trainees develop and achieve their goals is really rewarding.
I also lead our firm’s marketing team and I am always looking for new initiatives to promote brand awareness, our people, and the services we offer.
I try not to take life too seriously and inject fun into my work where possible. Interacting with different types of clients and personalities keeps the job interesting, as does watching people and their businesses succeed with our help.
By working closely with the Directors, I offer a supporting hand to my clients along their journey.
