Jacksons of Silsden (1988) Limited
The financial experts at Watson Buckle have helped keep the wheels turning at limousine, mini-coach and executive saloon hire company Jacksons of Silsden (1988) Limited, for many years.
Director and company secretary Susan Arthington said the two companies went back a long way, with Jackson’s Motor Services, as it was then known, being a client of one of the firms that merged into Watson Wood, which became Watson Buckle in 2000.
Nowadays, Watson Buckle provides the full range of accountancy services to Jacksons, including payroll, tax, company returns and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
Susan is able to draw on the expertise of the Watson Buckle team when needed, particularly Susan Sedgwick for general accounting issues, Julie Harrison for wages, Stephen Tomlinson for VAT and Jennifer Bowie on tax matters.
She said: “I’m in contact with the team often, particularly if I have any queries about tax, or if we’re looking to expand or make other changes in the business, they will talk us through the financial implications.
“With Watson Buckle, you get to know your own personal contacts and they become more like friends than business associates and always go out of their way to make sure you understand what they are telling you.
“They have been our accountants for as long as I’ve been involved in the business, and we’re perfectly happy with them and have never considered looking elsewhere.
“I would be happy to recommend them to other businesses – and have done on several occasions.”
