Running a shop single-handedly is a difficult task, especially given the tough economic climate of the past few years, but having an accountant you can rely on and who provide an excellent personal service, makes the job that little bit easier.
That’s the way sole trader Barbara Green sees it.
Mrs Green has been running her shop ‘Upper View’ – a gift shop and art gallery – in Ripponden, West Yorkshire, for 25 years now and Watson Buckle have been her accountants for the duration of that time.
Ian Gill, partner at Watson Buckle, came personally recommended to Mrs Green and she has been working with him for the past 25 years. She has always found his accounts service and business advice to be very helpful.
Watson Buckle prepare the annual accounts for Upper View and have also prepared her VAT returns in the past.
Mrs Green has never had cause to consider moving to another accountant and says, “I always deal with Ian and have done for many years, and am very happy with the service at Watson Buckle. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to others.
“Even though the company has grown from a small firm to the size it is now, I still get the personal service I have always received and it’s nice to be able to say that. I know if I needed anything, I could just ring up and ask.”
